Life a commodity
When people of wisdom who should have much to say
Speak not and hold their council
Allowing greed and misrule to optimize
Words of hope being an empty recital
When material advancement stands to the fore
To the detriment of human dignity
Life in its wholeness becomes an abstract
And civilization a mere commodity
